Rockstar Games surprised gamers around the world by dropping Trailer 2 of "Grand Theft Auto VI." The new trailer gives more insights as to how the game will run and how its story will pan out when the game comes out next year.
Because of the latest trailer, the global fans now have more idea as to how "GTA VI" will turn out, particularly with the trailer emphasizing more on the lead duo's Bonnie-and-Clyde-like plot.
'GTA VI' Trailer 2 Biggest Takeaways
There are many expecting Rockstar Games to follow up "Grand Theft Auto VI" with a new trailer this year, and this was fulfilled by the company, showcasing a more detailed Trailer 2 of the game.
While it is known that "GTA VI" will focus on the relationship between Jason and Lucia, making them the two main protagonists of the new game, the new trailer also showed more of their Bonnie-and-Clyde-esque portrayal.
Meet Jason and Lucia: 'GTA VI's' Career Criminal Lovers
First, Jason Duval stayed out of prison while Lucia Caminos did time for a crime that involved protecting her family and a heist gone wrong. That being said, this did not bring out any bad blood between the lovers as their reunion was all sweet and sensual.
However, Caminos' time in incarceration did not change her for the better as both are portrayed to be going back to their usual crime-filled activities as they set out in Vice City.
The game's plot details some information following Caminos' trajectory after prison, showing that while she had learned her lesson, she has become much smarter about her actions and avoiding heading back to prison.
Moreover, it also hints on Duval's crossroads in his relationship with Caminos as he wonders if she is the best or worst thing that came in his life.
As far as the trailer goes, it shows how both characters would play out a Bonnie and Clyde scenario as their lives and story are intertwined with crime.
For context, Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow were American outlaws known for their criminal activities during the Great Depression.
Vice City and Leonida
Vice City may be the setting of the new game, but it will also focus significantly on life in Leonida, with both characters looking to turn their fortunes for the better by opting for a life full of dangers and risks.
Additionally, ComicBook Gaming noted that "GTA VI" is a love story, highlighting more of the couple's relationship while going through life.
Based on the trailer, the couple first lived in a beach house thanks to Brian, Duval's boss and colleague, but hopped to motels later on. Still, players would be more versed in Leonida as this where the two characters rules the streets and centers their operations.
Customizations and New Features
As far as customizations go, the trailer shows off the many different styles for the characters which players would possibly be more in charge of on "GTA VI." A previous leak claimed that a famed "GTA: San Andreas" feature that allows bodybuilding may also play a role here.
Lastly, technology may also evolve in "GTA VI" based on ComicBook Gaming's report as Caminos is seen sporting AirPods-like wearables, with players possibly getting a chance to stream music directly, giving them more control beyond car radio stations.
