Rockstar Games has updated "Grand Theft Auto VI's" website after a rowdy set of events that unfolded particularly after they announced the third delay of the game.
However, the update is not exactly a bearer of good news for fans and gamers awaiting the next mainline title of the franchise.
'GTA 6' Website Update Still Brings Bad News to Fans
After announcing the delay for "Grand Theft Auto 6," Rockstar Games has not yet immediately updated the game's website, leaving many people wondering about its fate.
That said, GameRant reported that Rockstar has already updated the website yesterday, and it already displays the latest status of the mainline title.
The new status of the game is centered on its new release date, which was delayed to November 19, 2026.
The website's update does not share any other information like new experiences, features, or details about "Grand Theft Auto VI."
However, what was noted in GameRant's report is the bad news that came alongside this update, especially as Rockstar Games purposefully left out the PC icon from its confirmation of the November 19, 2026, release date for the game.
This may be a confirmation that the Nov. 19 date is only meant for "Grand Theft Auto VI's" PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S and X console releases and not for PC.
'GTA VI' Is Coming By Fall 2026
The update from Rockstar on "GTA VI's" website was viewed as a "good news, bad news" type of situation as the company only explicitly confirmed that the first drop of the game is only for consoles.
It is important to note that the same fate was suffered by "Grand Theft Auto V's" release 12 years ago as the game was available on day one to consoles. However, "GTA V" on PC did not release until almost two years later when it dropped in April 2015.
The previous release gap between the console and PC versions is not indicative of the timeline for "Grand Theft Auto VI," but because of the many delays, it is expected that it will suffer the same fate as the previous mainline game.
