LEGO will be releasing a line of toys based on the popular Angry Birds franchise!

Fans got their first look at the upcoming sets at the New York Toy Fair, where LEGO had the new building blocks on display (along with several hundred others). There will be six new sets in the Angry Birds theme, and will fill every price range from a comparatively paltry $12.99 to a whopping $89.99! (But then again, if you're a parent, you're probably already well aware of LEGO's exorbitant prices.)

However, the new Angry Birds sets may well be worth it for both kids and adult fans alike. For kids, it's a chance to bring their favorite red, ricocheting birds and helmet-toting piggies to life. For adults, there will be plenty of new pieces and minifigures to collect. And for both, the sets look like a lot of fun to build with plenty of interesting techniques as well.

Everyone's favorite set is likely to be the most expensive one: King Pig's Castle, a faithful recreation of the birds' siege on the pig stronghold. Other cool sets include a highly-detailed pirate ship, featuring piggy pirates, and an attack on the local piggy village.

The new Angry Birds line of sets will be released sometime in April, LEGO said, to tie into the new film which will hit theatres on May 20. Which set is your favorite?
