The Flash is returning to Injustice in the sequel coming out this May, and a brand new gameplay trailer shows the Scarlet Speedster just doesn’t know how to stop fucking with the timeline.

NetherRealm Studios did a character breakdown and demonstration of The Flash in Injustice 2 last week on their (almost) weekly Twitch stream For those who missed out, an introduction gameplay trailer was uploaded, which you can watch below.

The Flash’s fast punches and kicks return for Injustice 2 and he also has some brand new tricks, including the arm tornadoes that work as a great anti-air maneuver. His character power allows for him to tap into the Speed Force to make himself superfast, which translates to everything else in the world moving much slower. As the gameplay trailer shows, this will lead to plenty of combos and just some good ol’ fashioned juggling, which will likely make your opponent want to rage quit.

And then we have The Flash’s super finish. This was shown during the Watchtower Twitch stream a week ago, but this trailer shows it off again. It’s still as ridiculously over-the-top as the first time we saw it.

The Flash uses his incredible speed to take his opponent through a time portal and smash them into the Sphinx, causing its nose to break. He then moves further back into the past as he slams his foe against a Tyrannosaurus Rex before returning to the time before entering the time portal, slamming his opponent against their past selves.

It’s an endless loop that is best not thought about. Check out The Flash’s super finish below.

Guess Injustice 2 Flash is just as careless with the timeline as the CW’s Barry.

What do you think of The Flash in Injustice 2? Is his finisher the best in the game so far? Let us know in the comments section below.
