Five Nights At Freddy’s: The Twisted Ones is the sequel novel to Scott Cawthon’s Five Nights At Freddy’s: The Silver Eyes, and its Amazon page has been updated with major details. We now have a plot summary, cover art and price to behold.

The cover image, seen below, doesn’t reveal much. It appears to feature a withered animatronic with some razor sharp teeth. In fact, one might say it looks like a slight callback to the Nightmare animatronics featured in the Five Nights At Freddy’s 4 game. What we can assume is that Cawthon intends to offer even more scares with the second book in the series.

'Five Nights At Freddy's: The Twisted Ones' continues the plot of Scott Cawthon's previous novel. It's expected to release on Kindle and paperback format in June.

The plot description, however, offers many more clues to dissect. Here’s the tease in its entirety.

It's been a year since the horrific events at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, and Charlie is just trying to move on. Even with the excitement of a new school and a fresh start, she's still haunted by nightmares of a masked murderer and four gruesome animatronic puppets. Charlie thinks her ordeal is over, but when a series of bodies are discovered near her school-bearing wounds that are disturbingly familiar-she finds herself drawn back into the world of her father's frightening creations. Something twisted is hunting Charlie, and this time if it finds her, it's not letting her go.

From this setup, it’s clear that The Twisted Ones will deal heavily with the fallout of its preceding story. Charlie’s deceased father once co-owned the Fazbear franchise with a man named William Afton, and that partner harbored a murderous secret about his dealings in the business. When last seen in The Silver Eyes, Afton had been taken away by the same haunted animatronics he helped create. With a brand new series of murders in a new town, is Afton still to blame? Is Charlie’s family name not as clean as it seems?

Five Nights At Freddy’s: The Silver Eyes released in late 2015 and quickly became a #1 New York Times Best Seller. While loosely based on the viral Five Nights At Freddy’s game franchise, its plot technically exists in an alternate universe. That being said, the latest video game theories likely offer a hint of what to expect.

This news arrives just days after Cawthon revealed the Five Nights At Freddy’s movie project is “back at square one.” The game and book arms of the franchise appear to be progressing as planned.

Five Nights At Freddy’s: The Twisted Ones is currently scheduled for release June 27 on Kindle and paperback. Its Kindle price is $5.99, and paperback is listed for $7.40.
