New Update

The new free update introduced players to the FIFA World Cup 2022 game mode. In this one, fans play as any of the 32 qualified nations in a genuine recreation of the World Cup 2022, including the opening match and the final game.

That’s not all since fans can also try different game modes like FIFA World Cup: Live and Your FIFA World Cup and the new FIFA Ultimate Team Campaigns.

The Live Event

FIFA World Cup: Live runs from November 21 to December 18, a curated EA SPORTS World Cup experience available to FIFA 23 players only. This new live experience is going to be updated during the group and knockout stages of the tournament. This should allow players to follow the authentic fixtures and squads for each game. In addition, fans also have the chance to rewrite history by changing the outcome of any past fixture and reimagine the result in real time.

New FUT

The new update also introduces everyone to new FUT campaigns from November 11 to December 23, bringing players closer to the action than ever. As the players board the plane and head to the tournament, EA is going to launch this excitement with live items that receive progression upgrades based on each nation’s progress throughout the journey.

Other content that players can expect includes authentic team kits, stadium dressings, visuals, match balls, and dedicated commentary. Additionally, fans who play the game by January 3, 2023 get two FIFA World Cup History Makers to add to their FIFA Ultimate Team.

Other New Content

What else is happening? There’s the “World Cup Path to Glory” event which started November 11 until November 23. Fans of FUT should be happy to know they have access to 30 unique World Cup Heroes, presented in a custom World Cup themed hero shell.

Released on September 30, FIFA 23 is available on PC through the EA app, Origin, Epic Games Store, and Steam. The game was also released on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
