Retro first-person shooters are making somewhat of a comeback lately with titles like Dusk and Ultrakill. But if you’re in the market for something that’s a little less gory but still fast-paced, publisher No More Robots and developer Mopeful Games have got you covered with Fashion Police Squad which has just been given an August 15 release date on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. The game will be available for $19.99 on both storefronts, and console versions were also confirmed; however, at the moment, there’s no news on which consoles Fashion Police Squad is coming to and their launch dates. To celebrate the PC release date announcement, No More Robots unleashed a new trailer which you can check out below.

Fashion Police Squad pits players against a plethora of humorous fashion crimes. Taking the role of Sergeant Des and armed with a Belt of Justice and a Tailormade Sewing Machine, your job is to dole out the necessary punishment for these dress code offenders – in a non-violent way, of course. As seen in the trailer, the Belt of Justice also doubles as a neat grappling hook, allowing Sergeant Des to swing his way through a variety of locations, hunting down these nefarious fashion criminals.

Check out a rundown of features below as per its official Steam page:

  • Pit yourself against all kinds of Fashion Crimes, from saggy pants to neon brights
  • Utilize a specialized weapons arsenal, including weaponized Sock Gnomes
  • Jump, climb, and swing your way around Trendopolis to uncover its secrets
  • Fight against the biggest, baddest bosses in the fashion industry
  • Solve the mystery of the resurgence of Fashion Crime and take out the villains at the top

Fashion Police Squad also has a fair bit of depth to it, as each fashion crime requires a different weapon to tackle with. Weapon switching is not just recommended, it’s required, as some enemies will refuse to get a makeover unless you are equipped with the proper weapon.

If you’re interested in trying out the game early on PC, No More Robots also announced a final beta that will be held on the platform soon. You can sign up for that closed beta here.
