Like a Dragon: Ishin! Combat Demo Now Available on PC and Next-Gen Consoles

A Combat Demo for Like a Dragon: Ishin! is now live, giving players access to two segments of the game. They first go against enemies at the Kiyomizu Temple and then fight three armored warriors. The demo can be downloaded for free on PC through Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.

Like a Dragon: Ishin! is still prepping for its official worldwide launch on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. This means there's still time to pre-order the game on Steam, PlayStation Store, and Xbox Store to get these three exclusive weapons:

  • Kijinmaru Kunishige, a dark sword with a white hilt.
  • Tsuyano Usukurenai, a sword soaked in blood.
  • Black Ship Cannon, a cannon taken from Western ships.

The Digital Standard Edition is available for $59.99. Meanwhile, the Digital Deluxe Edition is at $69.99 with early access to the game starting today, February 17.

Like a Dragon: Ishin! is a remake of Ryū ga Gotoku Ishin!, which itself is a spin-off game in the Like A Dragon series. However, unlike the original game, this new version is getting a worldwide release. Features of the game include:

  • Over the top action and diverse weaponry.
    • Engage in visceral combat that mixes feudal-era firearms and swords.
    • Players can switch between four different combat styles: Swordsman, Gunman, Wild Dancer, and Brawler.
    • Offers a deep roster of varied weaponry that marks the historic transition between classic sword fighting and modern armed warfare.
    • Players can train and upgrade skills to unlock even more powerful abilities.
  • Historical samurai epic
    • An optional in-game glossary supplements context to the historical basis of the people, places, and events featured within the game.
  • Old meets new
    • The game expands its Japan-exclusive predecessor with localization support and all-new content.
    • There's also the remastered graphics and enhanced capabilities for modern platforms with Unreal Engine 4.​
