Dragon Ball FighterZ Roster: Every Confirmed Character

Since the announcement of Dragon Ball FighterZ at E3, there have been more than 20 fighters confirmed for this amazing looking 2D fighting game. Bandai Namco and Arc Systems Works have periodically revealed members of the roster. and With the release date rapidly approaching, it may be hard to remember who is actually confirmed to be playable in Dragon Ball FighterZ.

While the staples of the Dragon Ball universe like Goku and Vegeta are easy to remember, some of the newer characters are a little more difficult to recall. There’s also the fact that some characters only appear as assists. That means Android 17, the Ginyu Force and Chaotzu will only appear to help during certain attacks.

Currently, there are 23 confirmed characters in the Dragon Ball FighterZ roster, and here they are all in one place. This list will be updated if Bandai Namco adds new characters before the official release.

GOKU

The main protagonist of Dragon Ball, Goku joins Dragon Ball FighterZ with an array of techniques and the ability to transform into Super Saiyan 3.

VEGETA

Goku’s eternal rival brings his special blend of kai attacks to Dragon Ball FighterZ.

SUPER SAIYAN BLUE GOKU

The pinnacle of current Saiyan power, Super Saiyan Blue Goku is a separate character and not merely a transformation for base Goku. However, SSB Goku can apparently use the Kaioken to boost his speed and power even more.

SUPER SAIYAN BLUE VEGETA

Like Goku, Super Saiyan Blue Vegeta is a separate character, a stronger version of the base Vegeta.

TEEN GOHAN

The hero of the Cell Saga, Teen Gohan brings his raw power and deadly hand-to-hand combat skills to Dragon Ball FighterZ.

ADULT GOHAN

Stronger than his teen counterpart, Adult Gohan brings a more refined fighting style and is imbued with the power of the kais.

PICCOLO

Gohan’s mentor joins the fight with his signature Special Beam Cannon and Hellzone Grenade.

KRILLIN

While not the strongest fighter, Krillin brings a lot to the table in Dragon Ball FighterZ with his unique kai attacks.

FUTURE TRUNKS

Equipped with his sword, Future Trunks adds a new fighting element to Dragon Ball FighterZ, as he combines his punches with slashes.

ANDROID 18

One of the more fearsome villains of Dragon Ball Z , 18 has turned over a new leaf and will play a big role in the story of Dragon Ball FighterZ . Her brother, 17, will appear as an assist when needed.

FRIEZA

Perhaps the most iconic Dragon Ball villain, Frieza joins the fight with the ability to transform into his Golden Frieza form to boost all of his stats.

CELL

A villainous android...synthezoid thing, Cell’s programming allows him to use his opponent’s moves against them.

MAJIN BUU

The former villain now joins Dragon Ball FighterZ with his unconventional fighting style and attacks. Don’t take this pink blob for granted.

KID BUU

The incarnation of all the evil that was within Majin Buu, Kid Buu is fast, feral and unpredictable. He may seem like a child, but don’t take this villain lightly.

ANDROID 16

The Android with a heart of gold will play a big role in the story mode of Dragon Ball FighterZ and is arguably the strongest of the androids. His grapple techniques are something to fear.

GOTENKS

The fusion of Goten and kid Trunks, Gotenks has the power of two Super Saiyans but the mind of two children. As long as he can reel in the childish tendencies, Gotenks is a formidable fighter.

NAPPA

Vegeta’s former partner is a Saiyan that took the Z-Fighters to the brink before Goku’s arrival.

TIEN

One of the original Z-Fighters, Tien brings an array of powerful kai attacks and uses Chaotzu as an assist.

YAMCHA

Arguably the weakest fighter, Yamcha does offer a lot in terms of hand-to-hand combat. Just watch out for any hidden Saibamen.

CAPTAIN GINYU

Frieza’s top fighter can change bodies using a special technique and even summon the Ginyu Force as an assist.

BEERUS

The God of Destruction is arguably the strongest fighter in the universe, but he still has a soft spot for sweets and naps.

HIT

The assassin of Universe 6 is dubbed the fastest man alive, not because of his speed, but because of his ability to slow down time.

GOKU BLACK

A corrupt Goku from another universe, Goku Black brings all of Goku’s strengths without any semblance of good. He also has a Rose Super Saiyan transformation.
