Pretty big news incoming for Digimon fans and Switch owners.

It looks like we will be seeing Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth - Hacker’s Memory on the Nintendo Switch, despite all its current licensing issues. The game was listed on two major Spanish online retailers, before being swiftly removed. However, thanks to the quick work of some Spanish Digimon fans, it has since been immortalized in a thread on a Spanish-language forum.

According to the leak, Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth - Hacker's Memory will be made available for the Nintendo handheld console on October 30 later this year. This means that Digimon fans will be able to play Cyber Sleuth - Hacker’s Memory on the Nintendo Switch before the year is done.

Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth - Hacker’s Memory was originally released as an exclusive for the PlayStation 4 and PS Vita back in 2018, to serve as an additional campaign parallel to the original Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth title released back in 2016. In terms of changes, Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth - Hacker’s Memory expanded upon many things offered in the 2016 release, such as adding a backstory to what happened in the original title. It also offered a larger assortment of Digimon, featuring 320 of the creatures from the original animated series. Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth - Hacker’s Memory also offered a large number of quality-of-life fixes and streamlined elements, making it a tighter and generally more enjoyable title to play.

This could also point to the V-Jump tease revealed a few months ago, in which it said that there will be a new Digimon title to be announced soon. That issue of V-Jump goes live next month, so we can expect to find out more pretty soon.

There are two more Digimon titles currently in the works, which is definitely a boon to its many fans. We have Digimon Survive, which is slated for later this year. It is a strategy RPG title in lieu of the usual turn-based RPG, which is a surprising take on the franchise. A brand new Digimon Story title is also in development for the PlayStation 4, but don’t expect that any time before 2020.

Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth - Hacker’s Memory is currently available for the PlayStation 4 and the PS Vita.
