The gaming industry is doing better than ever, but which company is doing the best? Let’s find out. NPD Group has revealed the sales figure of video games for December and the whole year of 2022. Many AAA games that you expect to be on the list are here, including COD Modern Warfare 2, Elden Ring, and God of War Ragnarök.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 has beaten Elden Ring in sales, with the FPS title being the best-selling game of December and 2022. FromSoftware’s magnum-opus is the second best-selling game of 2022.

Sony’s biggest title this year, God of War Ragnarök, has also made major waves and was able to grab the third spot for December while fourth for 2022. This is quite impressive because Ragnarök is only available on PlayStation.

As usual, sports games also did well this year with Madden NFL 23, FIFA 23, and MLB: The Show 22 included in the top 10 selling games of the year. You can check out the entire list below.
