Blade & Soul ’s first DLC expansion has received a release date for North America - March 23. The free expansion, titled Silverfrost Mountains, will add a lot of new content for players including a level cap increase. Players now max out at level 50 and can raise their Hongmoon level to 10, which gives even veteran players an excuse to jump in and start tearing through the DLC.

In addition to the level cap, the Silverfrost Mountains expansion will continue the Act IV storyline and send players on a quest to track Jinsoyun across new regions. Players will gain access to the Silverfrost Mountain region, as well as eight new dungeons and a level 50, factions only area called the Soulstone Plains.

A new city, Zaiwei, is ready to be explored, too, or used as a hangout before players head out for the Grand Harvest square server event. In the event, players will have to defend the square from increasingly difficult hordes of enemies. Obviously, there will be loot and glory for all.

Speaking of loot, the Silverfrost Mountains expansion also comes complete with all the standard gear and crafting upgrades that are atypical of MMOs these days. A new endgame crafting system is in place for Silverfrost Mountains , and players who have already upgraded their weapons with endgame materials will skip ahead, while those who have yet to begin progressing at endgame will jump directly to the new system. New items and upgrades are coming to the Clan crafting system as well.

What do you think about the new Blade & Soul expansion? Will you be testing the limits of the level cap? Crafting Clan gear? Getting into the game for the first time? Let us know in the comments!
