Despite all the hype and excitement over BioWare’s newest video game Anthem, its release was met with some underwhelming reviews and community-wide disappointment.

It may be too early to tell whether or not Anthem is a flop, but fans of the developer have expressed real concern over the future of the company. One Twitter user showed his public concern for the BioWare’s future in the tweet below:

Although there is some real cause for concern, BioWare has reassured its fans that the developer is not going anywhere. Anthem may have had a rough launch, but its player-base continues to grow and there are quite a few members of its community that love the game despite all the negative comments it has received so far.

BioWare is the game development company behind some of the most popular video game titles of recent decades. Its catalog includes the Dragon Age trilogy, the Mass Effect series, the critically-acclaimed Neverwinter Nights PC game, and both titles in the Baldur’s Gate franchise. These are arguably two of the best role-playing games ever made. Despite the poor reception of Anthem, BioWare’s next move is likely going to inspire excitement for what’s in store for the historic developer.

While BioWare will continue to support and develop Anthem, hopefully into everything the game could and should have been at launch, the developer is looking back at the Dragon Age franchise for some direction into the future. Announcements were made in late 2018 that a new installment to the Dragon Age franchise was in the works, and hopefully it’ll have a much better reception than Anthem did at launch.

If you’re a fan of BioWare, or have played any of its award-winning video games, we’d like to hear what you think about the situation. Will you continue to support BioWare despite the disappointments following the release of Anthem? Do you think Anthem has a shot at rebirth and redemption given BioWare’s star-studded record?
