‘Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice’ Has No Post-Credits Scene

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will premiere to the public on March 25 and despite what preliminary reviews say, seeing both iconic heroes in the same movie is something to behold.

However, if you plan to keep sitting in the theater once the credits start rolling, you should know that there will be no mid- or post-credits scene in Batman v Superman. According to early screeners, the leadup to the Justice League film will not have an extra scene, so don’t bother waiting around after the 153-minute runtime.

The last Warner Bros/DC Comics movie, Man of Steel, also didn’t have a post-credits scene. The popular theory is that director Zack Snyder is trying to further separate the DC Comics movie brand from that of the successful Marvel Studios films.

Whether that’s a good idea is yet to be seen, but as we saw with 20th Century Fox’s handling of superhero film properties like Deadpool, a post-credits scene can effectively tease prospective sequels and generate more hype for the film and future films.

But with production of Wonder Woman and the rest of the DC Comics movieverse already underway, and the Justice League movie not hitting theaters until 2017, Batman v Superman will be standing alone.

So what do you think, should Batman v Superman have a post-credits scene? Are you excited to watch the new movie? Sound off in the comments section below.
