The official Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links website has released the first trailer of the upcoming mobile card game, which shows off how the game looks and how it will work.

According to the site -- via Anime News Network -- there will be several game modes in Duel Links. The first is Duel World mode, which allows for players to choose their favorite characters from the anime and duel against other duelists.

In this mode, players can raise their characters’ levels, obtain new cards and complete missions. As you progress through the stages, more duelists and functions will be unlocked.

Take a look at the Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links trailer below.

In Duel World Mode, you’ll have your choice of Yami Yugi, Kaiba, Mai Valentine and Joey but other characters like Mako Tsunami, Weevil Underwood and others were teased, and can likely be unlocked as you progress through the various missions.

Another mode will allow online players take on others from around the world in real-time. Players can also practice against duelists they have previously faced and even watch replays.

The mobile game will be available on both iOS and Android, and Japan will be the first region to get the game in late April. The game is free to play, but with optional in-app purchases.

However, Konami confirmed in January that a global release for Duel Links and the other two Yu-Gi-Oh! games coming in 2016 (a PC and 3DS game) is happening, so fans in the West will have to wait for the announcement.
