Microsoft will be in attendance at gamescom 2017, livestreaming the show for fans around the world. Additionally, other Xbox events will be planned throughout the week, as well as an event for Age of Empires.

If you want to see the main Xbox press conference, the show will take place on Sunday, Aug. 20 at 3 p.m. EDT. It will be streamed through the site mixer.com and the mixer app, and streams will probably be easy to find on sites like YouTube and IGN.

Specific plans about the show weren’t mentioned, but we do know Microsoft will have some more news about the Xbox One X. We can also expect to find out more about upcoming first-party games like Crackdown 3 and Forza Motorsport 7. If I were a betting man, a smart bet would be Microsoft announcing when original Xbox backward compatibility will be available as well.

If you’re in Cologne for the event and want to play any of the new Xbox games, there will be an Xbox booth on the showfloor of gamescom. The booth will be located in Hall 8 of the Koelnmesse, North entrance, and will feature 27 playable games. The booth hours are as follows:

  • Tuesday, Aug. 22 – 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. CEST (press/trade only day)

  • Wednesday, Aug. 23 – 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. CEST

  • Thursday, Aug. 24 – 9 a.m. – 8 p.m. CEST

  • Friday, Aug. 25 – 9 a.m. – 8 p.m. CEST

  • Saturday, Aug. 26 – 9 a.m. – 8 p.m. CEST

There will also be an Xbox FanFest at the show. Further details about the FanFest will be coming soon, but the event will take place on Tuesday, Aug. 22.

Lastly, Microsoft will be hosting an Age of Empires event on Monday, Aug. 21, starting at 3 p.m. EDT. This event will celebrate the Age of Empires franchise while giving the first look at the remastered Age of Empires: Definitive Edition. This event will also be streamed through mixer, and will feature interviews with some of the developers who have worked on the franchise.
