The Pokémon Company are slowly releasing all of the Mega Stones from Gen 6 for Sun and Moon players with the latest batch being released today.

A shared Mystery Gift code has been announced so Sun and Moon players can download the Mega Stones for Houndoom and Heracross. It also gives trainers a second chance to download the Mega Stones for Steelix and Pidgeot.

According to Serebii, Steelixite and Pidgeotite are two of the four mega stones being distributed and this is a great chance for those trainers who didn’t participate in the March Online Competition.

If you did participate and downloaded the Mega Stones for Steelix and Pidgeot in March, well now you’ll have two.

Houndoom and Heracross’ Mega Stones are being distributed and this is the first time you can obtain either in Sun and Moon. Trainers will want to get their hands on these two mega stones to try out in online battles (although Mega Pokémon are not allowed in official VGC rules).

So how do you download all four mega stones in Pokémon Sun and Moon ?

To get your Mega Stones, you’ll need to boot up your game and go to the MYSTERY GIFT tab. Select RECEIVE GIFT and then GET VIA CODE. Connect to the internet and enter the following code:

In North America, input AZUL.

Afterwards just go to your nearest Pokémon Center and talk to the man in the blue and orange shirt.

This Mega Stone distribution does not currently have an end time, so there isn’t any rush. Still, you should definitely download them as soon as you can.

The April Online Competition saw trainers compete for the Mega Stones of the three Hoenn Starters, Sceptile, Blaziken and Swampert. Those who participated in at least three battles over the competition time will receive those Mega Stones soon.

Since Mega Stones for Beedrill and Mawile, and now Steelix and Pidgeot were distributed for anyone a month or two after the online competition they were prizes for, expect the Hoenn Starter Mega Stones to become available over the summer.

May’s Online Competition for Pokémon Sun and Moon will gift the Mega Stones for Abomasnow, Tyranitar and Manectric so sign up if you haven’t already.

The only Mega Stones not available in Sun and Moon, at the time of this writing, are Mega Camerupt, Mega Altaria, Mega Latios and Latias, Mega Lopunny, Mega Gallade, Mega Aggron, Mega Gardevoir, Mega Ampharos, Mega Banette and Mega Diancie.

Pokémon Sun and Moon are currently available for Nintendo 3DS.
