As far as analysis is concerned, there’s not much we can say about Ingram since he’s barely had any NBA game time. However, if he’s able to put up 17 points a game like he did at Duke, you’ll start to see that 76 stat rise very quickly. For now, 2K is keeping things conservative with a stat fairly close to what we’ve seen from many promising rookies.

On the more established end, the depressing tumble of Cavs point guard Derrick Rose continues. His starting overall of 78 is the lowest in his entire career, including his rookie season. Obviously there are lots of factors that can dictate how the overalls work out in terms of scale, but the consistent story here is that Rose’s performance on the court simply hasn’t been good enough for an athlete supposedly in his prime. In 2011, he was scoring 25 points per game. By now, that stat has dropped all the way to 18.

With regard to Crowder, he’s stayed fairly consistent. He’s one point lower than where he started last year, but that can easily be tweaked with a few good games for the team in green.

We’ll likely be getting more player ratings from 2K very soon, but until then, feel free to check out our latest updates on MyGM and the Prelude demo.

NBA 2K18 comes to PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Nintendo Switch and PC Sept. 19.
