Android 21 will play a big role in the story mode of Dragon Ball FighterZ. She has a special connection with Android 16 and is the reason behind his revival. V-Jump also described Android 21 as having an intellect that rivals Dr. Gero.

The new issue of V-Jump also confirms that Chiaotzu will also be in Dragon Ball FighterZ, but only as a support/assist character for Tien, in the same way Android 17 is a support character for Android 18.

The magazine confirms that Yamcha’s special moves include the Spirit Ball special that players can control and his Neo Wolf Fang Fist. Tien is shown using the Neo Tri-Beam Meteor.

The inclusion of these three new characters brings the roster size of Dragon Ball FighterZ to 14. The confirmed list of fighters are: Goku, Vegeta, Frieza, Android 18, Cell, Trunks, Majin Buu, Gohan, Krillin, Piccolo, Android 16, Tien, Yamcha and Android 21.

Bandai Namco just completed the first round of closed betas for the new fighting game, but there is still plenty of time for the devs to announce more new Dragon Ball characters before the game is ready to ship.

Dragon Ball FighterZ is set to release in early 2018 for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
