Star Wars fans are hoping the force remains strong with Carrie Fisher, including her on-screen brother Mark Hamill.

UPDATE: With great sadness, we can confirm Fisher passed away Tuesday following a severe heart attack. She was 60.

Fisher was hospitalized on Dec. 23 after suffering a massive heart attack on a returning flight from London to LAX. Debbie Reynolds, Fisher’s mother, recently updated fans confirming her daughter is in stable condition as of Dec. 25.

"Carrie is in stable condition," Reynolds tweeted. "If there is a change, we will share it. For all her fans & friends. I thank you for your prayers & good wishes."

Hamill, who played Fisher’s brother Luke Skywalker, shared his Christmas wish to his Instagram followers regarding Fisher’s health.

CNN reports the Los Angeles Fire Department shared the following statement regarding Fisher’s incident at LAX. An emergency medical technician happened to be on Fisher’s flight and was able to perform CPR on the Star Wars actress before paramedics arrived on to the scene. Fisher went into cardiac arrest at the United Airlines gate where the London flight had just landed.

"LAFD responded to LAX Gate 74 for patient on inbound flight in cardiac arrest," LAFD Spokesman Erik Scott told CNN. "Paramedics standing by upon arrival provided advanced life support and aggressively treated and transported patient to local hospital."

Fisher’s daughter Billie Lourd arrived to the hospital with Fisher’s pet dog sooner after she was transported to the local hospital. Hamil is just one of many celebrities and Star Wars cast members to wish Fisher well. Harrison Ford, who played Han Solo in the hit franchise, also shared a statement about his friend’s health scare.

"I'm shocked and saddened to hear the news about my dear friend," Ford told The Hollywood Reporter. "Our thoughts are with Carrie, her family and friends."

Unfortunately, few details about Fisher’s condition have been released. It is unknown if Fisher is awake, alert or what kind of treatment she’s receiving.

May the force be with you, Carrie Fisher.
