October isn’t that far away, right? Wrong. It’s really far away, but at least we have specific dates to look forward to on The CW. After Stephen Amell revealed the Arrow Season 6 premiere date on Twitter, The CW confirmed the entire fall DCTV premiere schedule. Without further ado, here it is:

Supergirl

Monday, Oct. 9 at 8 p.m.

New series, Valor, follows at 9 p.m.

The Flash

Tuesday, Oct. 10 at 8 p.m.

Legends of Tomorrow

Tuesdays, Oct. 10, at 9 p.m.

Riverdale

Wednesday, Oct. 11 at 8 p.m.

Dynasty reboot follows at 9 p.m.

Supernatural

Thursday, Oct. 12 at 8 p.m.

Arrow

Thursday, Oct. 12 at 9 p.m.

It’s worth noting DCTV new addition Black Lightning will premiere during the midseason, most likely January, following the same release schedule as Legends of Tomorrow Season 1 with a limited number of episodes.

Legends of Tomorrow following The Flash is no surprise. This changed halfway through last season and it worked out well. The two shows have a lot in common in terms of time travel and focus on the multiverse, which Arrow and Supergirl rarely address.

The odd change is Arrow moving to Thursdays at a later time; however, this could be a good thing. Following a show like Supernatural is kind of a compliment and the later time could mean the series is switching to a darker tone, sort of like Agents of SHIELD did with the 10 p.m. time slot switch. This would work well for Arrow as well. Stephen Amell is excited about it, at least.

That being said, it will be weird to have to wait a night to see Arrow, instead of continuing the momentum created by The Flash the night prior. It was nice in the spring season to have DCTV the first three days of the week, instead of spanning over four days. Technically speaking, that's still true, however, the gap in the middle will make it feel like four days of the week, instead of airing all four shows back-to-back in the beginning of the week.
