It was just last week when it was announced that more than 30 new fighters were to be added to the roster of EA Sports UFC 5. This time more good news is coming in the way of players. That's because an all-new Alter Ego UFC Champions II series has arrived in the game.

You see this April 13 in Las Vegas, UFC 300 is set to feature two title fights along with a battle for the BMF belt. In celebration, three all-new Alter Egos that hero former UFC Champions are being introduced.

The Alter Egos are:

  • Robert Whittaker (MW) from UFC 225:
    • After a close and contentious battle for the interim UFC Middleweight Championship between Yoel Romero and Robert Whittaker, the pair would throw down once more with Whittaker taking the split decision.
    • This shut down the thoughts of a trilogy and proving once again that you should fear The Reaper.
  • Max Holloway (FW) from UFC 231:
    • Max "Blessed" Holloway battered Brian Ortega from bell to bell across four rounds only pausing to show T-City some boxing techniques mid-fight and then getting a doctor's stoppage to extend his win streak to thirteen.
  • Chris Weidman (MW) from UFC 187:
    • From dethroning and defending against divisional GOAT Anderson Silva, solving the dangerous riddle of Lyoto Machida, and culminating with a first-round finish of the always dangerous Vitor "The Phenom" Belfort at UFC 187 — "The All-American" has worked for every title he has had wrapped around his waist in the Octagon.

Fight Week Challenges

UFC 300 Fight Week introduces a new set of Fight Week Challenges for UFC 5. Players who complete these challenges get to unlock various rewards that include Chris Weidman's Alter Ego and "Suga" Sean O'Malley's Alter Ego from UFC 299.

The Fight Week Challenges are live now and only available for a limited time. So be sure to start your fights and unlock those rewards.

More Fighters

As mentioned, more fighters are to be added by June. A total of nine players were introduced last week with the rest to be released in late April, May, and then June.

EA Sports UFC 5 is a mixed martial arts fighting video game released in October 2023 and made available for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
