We’re getting close to the one-year anniversary of the release of Mortal Kombat X and the top fighting game of 2015 has seen a lot of changes since its April release. We've had numerous DLC characters , an improved online mode and the release of Mortal Kombat XL that has all of the DLC from the past year in one package.

So what else is there to say about Mortal Kombat X? Well, if you follow NetherRealm Studios’ Ed Boon on Twitter, you’ll know that he can be a big tease, and the latest tweet from the Boon man gives more questions than answers.

Big news? This could be a number of things. Everyone is going to want to immediately proclaim that Injustice 2 is on its way, but the image that Boon posted strongly suggests this piece of news will have to do with Mortal Kombat X/XL.

Are more characters on the way? We still have working versions of Rain, Baraka and Sindel that weren’t used so that’s a possibility or is Mortal Kombat XL coming to PC after releasing for both Xbox One and PS4 in early March?

Luckily for everyone, whatever news Boon is teasing will come as early as March 30, so stay tuned. But in the meantime, let us know your thoughts on the tease and what your prediction for it can be in the comments section.
