Akuma is finally coming to 'Street Fighter V' Capcom

Capcom released a brief but satisfying teaser trailer confirming that fan-favorite character Akuma will be joining Street Fighter V.

In the teaser, Akuma is not shown but his signature finishing move (Wrath of the Raging Dragon) is, along with a confirmation that those who attend PlayStation experience from Dec. 3-4 will be able to play Akuma.

Check out Akuma in Street Fighter V teaser trailer below.

Akuma was noticeably absent when Street Fighter V’s initial roster was announced and his absence among the DLC characters left fans baffled. Akuma has been a crucial character to the plot of Street Fighter for some time now, but it seems Capcom is finally giving fans what they want.

Street Fighter V Producer Yoshinori Ono revealed in an interview back in November 2015 that the Street Fighter team has plans for more DLC outside of the first wave if the demand for it is there. Akuma may be the start of the second wave of DLC for Capcom’s premier fighting game.

While there is no news as to when Akuma will be released for Street Fighter V or if his character will be easy to obtain, but Akuma is a special guest in Tekken 7 and will play a big role in that story as well when it comes out in 2017.
