‘Pokken Tournament’ Patch 1.2 Notes Detail Changes to Shadow Mewtwo And More

The Pokken Tournament patch intended to fix the Shadow Mewtwo infinite combo glitch has finally gone live worldwide and with it come details on what characters and moves have been changed.

There’s also changes to overall actions and some of the Support Pokémon and we’ll go into that in greater detail.

Patch 1.2 of Pokken Tournament is needed for players to compete online, so if you’re holding out on updating then you’ll be left out. And without further ado, here’s the patch notes for Pokken Tournament version 1.2 courtesy of Serebii .

GENERAL CHANGES

  • When Defense is raised, shields are boosted

  • When Defense is decreased, shields are weakened.

CHARACTER SPECIFIC CHANGES

The character-specific changes don’t alter the damage of any of the attacks, but instead changes how they act and in some cases removes a glitch.

Pikachu Libre

  • Mid Air Strong Attack: Fixes a glitch that causes Libre to pass through an opponent that is against the wall

Sceptile

  • Hang: Fixes glitch that causes Sceptile to drop through the floor after using Bullet Seed then Hang

Mewtwo

  • Confusion: Harder to hit airborne opponents, harder to make critical hits

  • Jumping Attack Mid Air Strong Attack: Range decreased, can now be countered.

Shadow Mewtwo

  • Miracle Eye: In field phase, recharge time has been increased.

  • Miracle Eye Alterations: Reduces shield damage inflicted.

  • Side Ranged Attack: When activated again while one is in play, the one in play disappears quicker.

  • Backward Ranged Attack: Slight delay between using this move and being able to use Miracle Eye. Cancels running one if another is activated. Miracle Eye altered move has more pushback and can cause phase shift.

SUPPORT POKEMON CHANGES

Reshiram and Cresselia

  • Blue Flare: Damage inflicted reduced. No longer takes shield down all the way to red when blocked.

Espeon and Umbreon:

  • Snarl: Fixed a glitch that caused the move not to appear if Pachirisu had been used by the opponent.
