Pokémon Sun and Moon are almost here, and they are the best Pokémon games made to date. If you want to begin your island adventure through Alola as early as possible, there will be several locations hosting midnight release events.

The best option will be to go to your local GameStop. Nintendo has released a massive 51-page document of GameStop locations that will be hosting events. There is an event in every state, so be sure to check it out if you want to go. If you want something a bit easier to search, the GameStop store locator tool is right here.

Those who pre-order at GameStop will be treated to an exclusive double-sided poster. If you are going at midnight, it might help to pre-order, just so you know you’ll have a copy waiting for you when you show up.

If GameStop isn’t your thing, Best Buy, Target and Walmart occasionally hold release events. Be sure to call ahead to your local store before trekking over to make sure you aren’t sitting around in a dark parking lot. Click here to find your nearest Target, Best Buy and Walmart locations to get store phone numbers.

If you choose to download Pokémon Sun and Moon, make sure you have the space on your SD cards. Pokémon Sun clocks in at a staggering 24,579 blocks of storage and Moon needs a slightly smaller 24,459 blocks. If you do download your game, it will unlock at 12 a.m. EST. This means those on the West Coast can start playing tonight at 9 p.m. PST.

So what do you think? Are you excited to start catching all the new Pokémon in Sun and Moon? Will you be going out to a store at midnight to get your copy? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
