The ingenuity of Minecraft players will never cease to amaze. Thanks to the brick building game’s 1.10 update, YouTube user and Minecraft expert Requag has made a playable Game Boy Advance in Minecraft, and tested it out by loading up Pokémon FireRed. Check it out for yourself in the video below.

Using structure blocks, the Game Boy Advance’s screen gets updated with each button press the player enters. The build is still being worked on, so dialogue and battles aren’t available to play just yet. Requag mentioned this build took about three weeks to complete, and he plans on continuing to improve it moving forward.

There are a few cool features you will not find in Pokémon FireRed in this Minecraft build. Players have the option to retexture the GBA screen to make it appear in either black and white or color. There’s also a built-in level editor if you want to create your own Pok é mon map in Minecraft.

The map is available to download and play for yourself. Give it a try, and be sure to leave some feedback in the comments.

So what do you think? Are you blown away by the latest Minecraft build from Requag? What other crazy Minecraft contraptions made your jaw drop? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
