With the release of the Nintendo Switch rapidly approaching, Nintendo has announced some information about the eShop and other downloadable content coming to the hybrid console.

The Nintendo eShop will be ready for the Switch at launch on March 3 once the system update has taken effect. The eShop will be ready with indie titles, digital packages of already released games and DLC at launch.

People who already have funds in their accounts on other Nintendo devices can access them using a shared wallet that works on the Nintendo Switch. All you have to do is link your Nintendo Network ID and Nintendo Account and then their Nintendo Account to their Nintendo Switch system.

Unfortunately, the Nintendo Virtual Console won’t be ready for the Nintendo Switch at launch but more information on the subject will be given on a future date.

There will be a news feature on the Nintendo Switch that informs players of new additions coming to the Nintendo eShop as well as future updates.

Some of the new Nintendo Switch titles coming on March 3 include FAST RMX , a local split-screen racer that players can also take online. This lightning-fast anti-gravity racer is exclusive to Nintendo Switch.

Shovel Knight fans will be happy to know that the recently announced Specter of Torment will be ready for the Nintendo Switch at launch. This is the latest DLC for the Shovel Knight game and is a full-featured game starring Specter Knight. Specter of Torment will be a Nintendo Switch exclusive for a limited time.

Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove includes the original Shovel Knight game, as well as all previously released DLC - even the aforementioned Shovel Knight: Specter of Torment . Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove will be exclusive to Nintendo Switch for a limited time.

More information about the Nintendo indie titles for the Switch will be revealed on Feb. 28 on the Nintendo website starting at noon.
