Release date details for the LG G5 are trickling out slowly but surely. The 2016 flagship is slated to release April 1, as previously revealed in a leak, and now confirmed by confirmed by T-Mobile and Best Buy.
Best Buy
Best Buy will accept preorders for the LG G5 starting Friday. The retailer will host a $100-off promotion , offering the device for $99.99 with a two-year contract for Sprint subscribers.
Sprint and AT&T subscribers can get a free $100 Best Buy gift card when selecting one of the carrier's payment installment plans. Sprint will offer the LG G5 for $24 monthly for 24 months. AT&T is offering the LG G5 for $22.97 for 30 months on AT&T Next 24.
Unlocked the LG G5 will sell for $799.99 on Sprint and $688.99 in AT&T.
Best Buy will also offering consumers a free replacement battery, charging cradle and USB-C to micro-USB adapter with the purchase of every LG G5.
LG G5 preorders on Verizon begin March 24. A recent leak on Reddit indicates the device will also sell for $99.99 with a two-year contract.
T-Mobile
T-Mobile will begin accepting preorders for the LG G5 March 29, selling the device for $0 down and $26.25 for 23 months with a final payment of $26.24 on the 24th month. Unlocked, the LG G5 will sell for $629.99.
T-Mobile will also host several LG G5 promotions. Those who purchase the LG G5 before April 17 will get a free LG battery and docking station. Those who purchase the LG G5 before April 5 will get a free LG 360 Camera and in addition to the battery bundle, while supplies last.
Others
So far, no other U.S. carriers or retailers have announced pricing and availability for the LG G5. However, reports indicate regional carrier U.S. Cellular will begin offering the device April 1, with preorders starting March 28.
The device is expected to sell on U.S. Cellular for $636 off contract, or for $26.50 per month on a 24-month payment plan or for $199 with a two-year contract.
In LG’s native market of South Korea, the LG G5 will be available starting March 31.
