The latest Kirby platformer will give our favorite pink puffball some new toys and powers. In fact, the giant robot that Kirby uses is a must-learn tool in the upcoming Kirby: Planet Robobot, and the latest issue of Famitsu --via Nintendo Everything -- has more details on the Robobot.

According to Famitsu, the Robobot will have three more robot modes.

Stone Mode: Can punch with giant hands. It can also punch the ground for a wide-range attack, or use the giant hands to defend from enemy attacks.

Mic Mode: Attack with ear-splitting sounds from 4 big speakers. The damage range is very far.

Esper/ESP Mode: Attack with Psycho Thunders thrown from Robobot’s hands. By launching four giant electric balls at once, it’s possible to attack multiple enemies simultaneously.

Players will need to master the different powers of the Robobot to navigate certain terrain and obstacles and beat down enemies.

And speaking of enemies, the Famitsu issue also had information on the role King Dedede and Meta Knight will play in Planet Robobot.

Meta Knight -- the sometimes villain, sometimes hero to Kirby -- looks to have been captured and controlled by the enemy. In the case of Planet Robobot, the aliens are from…Planet Robobot. In the above image, you can see a device attached to Meta Knight’s mask.

And how about the long-storied nemesis of Kirby, King Dedede? Well, it would seem that there will be a clone of the penguin king created from his cells. This clone considers Kirby his greatest rival and attacks him as soon as he’s found.

Looks like the intruding aliens will be tough opponents if they’ve brought King Dedede and Meta Knight to their side (sort of).

Kirby: Planet Robobot is set to release June 10 for the Nintendo 3DS.
