Injustice 2’s roster is growing even more as Doctor Fate has been confirmed for the fighting game.
Doctor Fate is an old comic character, first appearing in 1940’s More Fun Comics #55. He would appear in his own comics, and even was a member of the Justice League at one point. Doctor Fate can also be seen in the Crisis on Infinite Earths storyline and the Infinite Crisis storyline.
Doctor Fate’s powers include spellcasting, flight, super strength, telekinesis, pyrokinesis and more. His powers were taught to him, similar to Doctor Strange, except Doctor Fate’s abilities are derived from the Egyptian gods.
In Injustice 2, Doctor Fate is a somewhat mid-range fighter. Many of his attacks seem to be short burst attacks, so keeping enemies just a little beyond arm’s reach is key. This also has the added benefit of keeping you far enough away to avoid any melee attacks from your opponents.
