Just as we expected, Rockstar has announced a Fourth of July special for GTA Online. Not as we expected, however, was the new content that dropped on Friday, June 30. The Dewbauchee Vagner comes to GTA Online and is joined by more 'Murica-themed apparel and paraphernalia than you'll ever want.
First off, the Dewbauchee Vagner is arguably the most outrageous hypercar on the roster yet. Here's what Rockstar had to say about its new spaceship with four wheels: The future has arrived and it's here to snatch your soul. The Vagner is the latest experiment to escape Dewbauchee's R&D labs and it's designed for one thing and one thing only: speed. The Supercar of tomorrow can be yours today, exclusively at Legendary Motorsport.
Beyond the vehicle, firework launchers are coming back, as well as classic outfits, the Western Sovereign, and the Liberator Monster Truck. Better yet, Rockstar announced a special 25 percent off discount from the original price. But act fast – they will only be available until July 10. Finally, new content this year include new liveries for your Mobile Operation Center and Mk II weaponry to help you flaunt your love of country.
Rounding off the Independence Day deals are generous 25 percent discounts at Docktease for all watercrafts, including special prices for all three Galaxy Super Yachts – 25 percent off Pisces, 30 percent off Orion, and 35 percent off Aquarius. Last but not least, yacht modifications are available at 50 percent off
As for activities and events, Rockstar announced premium races and time trial schedules for GTA Online. From June 30 through July 3, players can compete in the Spinner Super Premium Race and Fort Zancudo Time Trial. The Atmosphere Rocket Voltic Premium Race and Storm Drain Time Trial is available from July 4 through 10. Premium Race players will receive a hefty Triple RP award.
Finally, Dawn Raid is a new Adversary Mode joining GTA Online in this update. Parachute from a helicopter "in the dead of night directly into a crossfire," using thermal and night vision to identify and gun down the opposition. The objective is to track down the crate that contains your tax-exempt profit margin. There will be two teams of six that will race to get the hidden package. Dawn Raid will award Double GTA$ & RP for a limited time through July 10.
