Forza Motorsport 7 is releasing for Xbox One and PC on Oct. 3, and Microsoft has already revealed the minimum and recommended specs for the PC version. While the Forza games are known for looking phenomenal, the minimum recommendations are surprisingly reasonable.

The PC specs for Forza 7 are as follows:

Minimum

  • OS: Windows 10
  • Architecture: x64
  • Keyboard: Integrated Keyboard
  • Mouse: Integrated Mouse
  • DirectX: DirectX 12 API, Hardware Feature Level 11
  • Memory: 8 GB
  • Video Memory: 2 GB
  • Processor: Intel i5-750 2.67 GHz
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GT 740 or NVIDIA GTX 650 or AMD R7 250X

Recommended

  • OS: Windows 10
  • Architecture: x64
  • Keyboard: Integrated Keyboard
  • Mouse: Integrated Mouse
  • DirectX: DirectX 12 API, Hardware Feature Level 11
  • Memory: 8 GB
  • Video Memory: 4 GB
  • Processor: Intel i5 4460 3.2GHz
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GTX 670 or NVIDIA 1050 Ti

It’s interesting to note that the HDD space is not included in the specs as of yet. This is likely due to the developers not having a final answer themselves. There was one screenshot captured of the Microsoft store showing a need for 100GB of free space, but it looks like that information has been taken down or changed. As of now, the “approximate download size” on the store reads 2.27 MB - 10.09 MB. Another page lists the download size as 3.45 MB - 108.14 MB. These numbers are on opposite ends of the spectrum, but expect the 100GB number to be a bit closer to reality. For comparison, Gears of War 4 on PC required 80GB of storage.

In other Forza 7 PC news, Destructoid reported “all fan-requested racing wheels on the market” will be supported. While no specifics were mentioned, it seems developer Turn 10 is making it easy to play the latest Forza with your prefered gear. Destructoid mentioned the Turn 10 creative director made it seem like similar support would be coming for Xbox One players, but it was not confirmed.

So what do you think? Are you excited to play Forza Motorsport 7 on PC this October? Will you be waiting for the Xbox One X to get your copy? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
