Fallout 4 is about to look even better next week when the latest patch for PS4 and PC releases. The PS4 patch will feature PS4 Pro support and the PC patch will include a High-Resolution Texture Pack.

For those playing on a PS4 Pro, Update 1.9 will bring native 1440p resolution, enhanced draw distance for trees, grass, objects and NPCs and enhanced Godray effects. No date has been given on when the patch will be available to download, but it wouldn’t be surprising to see this pop up on Feb. 7, next Tuesday.

On the PC side, the official High-Resolution Texture Pack from Bethesda will be available for free next week as well. Be sure to clear out hard drive space, because the texture pack will require a whopping 58GB of additional storage. High quality textures are big data hogs. Bethesda has also released a new recommended PC specs list to play with the new textures.

Recommended PC Specs

  • Windows 7/8/10 (64-bit OS required)

  • Intel Core i7-5820K or better

  • GTX 1080 8GB/AMD Radeon RX 490 8GB

  • 8GB+ Ram

Like the PS4 patch, there’s no release date given for the texture pack. It’s probably safe to assume both updates will be released at the same time, so let’s plan on a Feb. 7 release as well.

So what do you think? Are you excited to play Fallout 4 while taking full advantage of your PS4 Pro? Will you be trying out the new texture pack from Bethesda? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
