Another day, another set of Hearthstone cards revealed for the next expansion, Knights Of The Frozen Throne . It looks like Blizzard wanted to start off with the really terrible cards, making sure the hype was dead before getting to the good stuff. We’ve seen gross doctors, lava armor and an ice dragon that even the hardest Hearthstone players are going to gush over. Without wasting any more time, here are today’s Knights Of The Frozen Throne card reveals:

Sindragosa
Sindragosa Gamespot

Sindragosa- Gamestop blew everyone away when they revealed this scaly frost-monster card. An 8/8 with two 0/1 minions for eight mana isn’t a terrible deal, especially when you get two Legendaries out of it. Unlike the rest of the card’s revealed so far, I can see the utility of this in Mage decks. Killing the pesky 0/1 icicles can get annoying, but thankfully cards like Volcanic Potion can blow up those knights and get you that sweet Millhouse Manastorm inside.

Sindragosa is like Dr. Boom, but way more balanced and less overpowered. The green-skinned Dr. Doom parody got immediate value when it was played in the board, that Doombot damage was always a serious threat to your board state. The Frozen Champions that get summoned are like Mirror Image minions that aren’t total crap. Think of Sindragosa like a Medivh , a card that’s played on tempo to help establish a board and gain some resources. Unlike Medivh, this dragon’s popsicles can’t be destroyed by Gluttonous Ooze which does make it a better option for some deck choices. If Secret Mage still remains a viable archetype, I’ll be adding her to my deck list.

Vampiric Poison - If Sindragosa was the coolest card released today, this Rogue spell was definitely the biggest letdown. For two mana, you can give your weapon Lifesteal, the new mechanic that heals you for the damage you inflict. Unfortunately, there isn’t a single good Rogue weapon besides Valeera’s hero power, and why would you spend a card just to heal for two? You can buff your blade with Deadly Poison or Naga Corsair , but then you’re either just trading or losing value on the board. Obsidian Shard isn’t godawful with this; healing for nine for six or less mana isn’t the worst play, but it’s not enough reason to use this card.

Unless a new Rogue weapon gets revealed this expansion, don’t expect to see many vampires in the developing meta.

Ghastly Conjurer
Ghastly Conjurer Blizzard

Ghastly Conjurer- This card just confuses me. It’s got the same stats as Frigid Snobold and Hozen Healer, with just an added Mirror Entity on top.

Ghostbusters Conjurer is actually not that bad in Arena, the mode where every Taunt and spell that prolongs the game matters. Getting a free spell to use for Open The Waygate, Mage’s Quest, also isn’t that bad either. Still, in an expansion that’s supposed to be crazy Death Knights and angry zombies, we really haven’t seen much of either. Sure, there was the Professor Putricide reveal last night, but that card is gimmicky at best. I want monsters that change the state of the board when they get slammed on the field, stitched together Beasts that strike fear into small children who just downloaded the app and a Lich King that can turn me into a Death Knight.
