Looks like Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice won’t feature Barbara Gordon after all. Variety reports that actress Jena Malone has been cut from the upcoming DC movie.

However, fans will get to see Malone in when the Batman vs. Superman R-rated extended cut Blu-ray is eventually released. The film’s production team has never confirmed Malone’s role in film, but it’s rumored the actress was set to play Barbara Gordon as Oracle .

One good thing is that director Zack Snyder is unlikely to cut any Justice League members from the Batman vs. Superman movie. Snyder recently spoke to the Hall of Justice podcast about the upcoming Justice League cameos in the film. Fans will briefly see Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, and Ezra Miller as The Flash.

“As far as the other Justice League characters go, they play a very small role. It’s really just a whisper they exist,” Snyder told Hall of Justice. “Except for Wonder Woman, we see her really well. But really the movie is about Batman and Superman. And we really take time with them and we really drill down on the why of them and what they stand for and their beliefs and them as characters. That’s pretty much the why of the movie. But again as I said, it does begin the conversation about these guys are out there.”

It’s possible that Oracle/Barbara Gordon might appear in the upcoming Justice League movie, which is slated for a November 2017 release date. Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice hits theaters on March 25.
