Apple will be staying out of Cleveland next month and are refusing to provide any support for the GOP 2016 presidential convention, according to a report by Politico, who cites two sources familiar with Apple’s plans.

These sources say that Apple have told republican leadership they decided against against providing funding due to “Donald Trump’s controversial comments about women, immigrants and minorities,” according to Politico.

Apple declined to comment for the story however, as did a spokesperson for Trump’s presidential campaign. When Politico contacted the organizers of the convention, a spokesperson for them said simply, "We are working with a variety of major tech partners who are focused on being part of the American political process."

Facebook, Google and Microsoft will all be providing some measure of support for the GOP convention. To give a measure of what this support actually entails, campaign finance records show that Apple donated about $140,000 in MacBooks and tech tools to both the Democratic and Republican presidential conventions in 2008.

Trump came out in opposition to Apple during their PR battle with the FBI and the Department of Justice over unlocking the iPhone 5 used in the December 2015 San Bernardino shooting.
