Attention everyone! The Doktor is in as Rainbow Six Siege welcomes back the Doktor’s Curse. This limited-time event starts today and runs all the way through November 2. It’s going to feature a new version of the Monster Hunt game mode.

For the duration of the event, players can get the Doktor’s Curse Collection for free by simply logging in to the game. It includes bundles for Smoke, Kapkan, Frost, Lesion, Doc, Bandit, and Ela. There are also bundles for new Monsters Jackal, Lion, Aruni, Melusi, and Kaid.

Players can also get three other packs by finishing Ubisoft Challenges.

Going back to the new 5v5 Monster Hunt mode, it divides players between attackers and defenders. The attackers are the Exterminators who need to kill their opponents. Meanwhile, the defenders are the Monsters that must survive.

For this mode, the Monsters Lion and Jackal have joined the Exterminators. The roster of the rest of the Exterminators is filled out by Sledges. Sledges are limited to wielding sledgehammers as weapons and can use one of these three select gadgets attached to Operator skins:

  • Eyenox Model III (Jackal)
  • Heartbeat Sensor (Pulse)
  • EE-ONE-D (Lion)

On the side of the Monsters, there’s Lesion, Frost, Kapkan, Smoke, Ela, Aruni, and Melusi. Unlike the Exterminators, the Monsters don’t have any weapons. However, they can use traps along with a special ability made for this game mode. The Monsters can become momentarily invisible and able to run faster to escape.

Patch

Last week, Ubisoft revealed some of the changes set to arrive with the Y6S3.3 patch. One of these is the increased vertical recoil for the Mx4 Storm. It’s been found out that Alibi had one of the three highest K/D ratios when equipped with the Mx4. The increase in the recoil means that it’s getting a little more kick as well as needing a little more finesse to be effective. Read more about it here.

Rainbow Six Siege was released in 2015 on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. In 2020, versions for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S were made available.
