GameFreak and The Pokémon Company are slowly giving Pokémon Sun and Moon trainers Mega Stones that were not available when the games launched and that includes this surprise Mystery Gift that players can redeem now.
Mewtwonite X and Y are coming to Sun and Moon through a Mystery Gift distribution beginning March 3 until an unspecified time so trainers should download it while they can.
It’s simple to obtain both Mega Stones for Sun and Moon j ust follow these steps:
To get your Mega Stones, you’ll need to boot up your game and go to the MYSTERY GIFT tab. Select RECEIVE GIFT and then GET VIA CODE. Once you’ve done that, you’ll have to enter the following code:
In North America, input M2DESCENT.
Once you’ve done that, just go to your nearest Pokémon Center and talk to the man in the blue and orange shirt.
Trainers should be picking up these and every Mega Stone that GameFreak has started to distribute since the beginning of 2017 because Mega Evolutions are still some of the most powerful Pokémon even they aren’t legal in most VGC tournaments.
Beedrilite and Mawilite were the first two Mega Stones gifted in 2017 if trainers participated in February’s International Challenge. Those will be distributed beginning March 7.
The Pokémon Company revealed that the rest of the Mega Stones not available on Day 1 will be even prizes in the future so be sure to sign up whenever they are announced.
