The Nintendo Switch is slated to release in March 2017 and the first game confirmed for the upcoming hybrid console is The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Now, the game’s release date window has finally been revealed.

According to the latest issue of CoroCoro -- via Anime News Network -- Breath of the Wild is slated to release in Japan in Spring 2017. Here’s the excerpt from the Japanese magazine.

Of course, the Zelda information in CoroCoro is only in regards to the Japanese release of Breath of the Wild, but it’s very likely that the upcoming Zelda title will see a worldwide release considering how much of it has been seen in person at E3 2016 and most recently on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon .

Nintendo has ramped up the promotion for Breath of the Wild with a screenshot a day on its site showing off never-before-seen stills of Link, the environment and some of his enemies.

The latest in the Zelda series will be released for both the Nintendo Wii U and Switch. There hasn’t been an exact release date for the highly anticipated game, but many believed it would be ready for the Nintendo Switch launch in March, a theory the latest CoroCoro leak supports.

Breath of the Wild was first announced in 2014 before being delayed to 2015 and then delayed again to 2017.
