The rumored return of a Justice League animated series has been confirmed with the announcement of Justice League Action, a new series that will bring the superheroes of DC Comics to Cartoon Network.

While the announcement came with no release date, only a “coming soon,” the Justice League Action series will have Kevin Conroy voicing Batman and Mark Hamill as the Joker, reuniting the two legendary voice actors.

Joining Conroy and Hamill are James Woods as Lex Luthor, Diedrich Bader (the voice of Batman on Batman: The Brave and the Bold ) as Booster Gold, with more voice actors to be announced.

Here’s the official description of Justice League Action from the Cartoon Network press release:

"Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman lead the DC Comics Super Heroes against their most infamous foes in adventures packed with relentless thrills, fun and action. No need to wait for the good stuff to start, each eleven-minute episode jumps in with lightning-paced action and heroics. Whether defending the Earth, facing invaders from space, or battling the bizarre forces of magic, the always-rotating team of Justice League heroes, are up to any challenge."

Justice League Action will be different from past Justice League reiterations, with 11-minute episodes similar to Teen Titans Go! and other Cartoon Network offerings but will have that similar DC Animation feel with alums like Sam Register ( TTG! ) executive producing, and Butch Lukic ( Justice League, Batman Beyond ), Alan Burnett ( Batman: The Animated Series ), and Jim Krieg ( Green Lantern: The Animated Series ) also producing.

So what do you think of the announced Justice League Action series?
