Huawei shared save the date invites for a Nov. 3 press conference, where the Chinese manufacturer is expected to announce the rumored Huawei Mate 9 smartphone. The device will serve as one of its flagships for the coming year and is expected to include high-end specs to compete with many other recently released Android phablets. Xiaomi recently announced it’s Mi5s Plus device, while the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 continues to rebound from its September recall .

Several spec leaks have surfaced for the Huawei Mate 9, indicating three storage options and a number of color options. The device is also expected to feature a dual-lens camera, a popular component for recent smartphone releases.

The Nov. 3 Mate 9 launch is intended for the Chinese market, while the smartphone is expected to have a second, global launch in January, likely during CES 2017.
