TinyBuildGames has announced Hello Neighbor from indie Russian developer Dynamic Pixels. Hello Neighbor is described as “a stealth horror game where you sneak into your neighbor's house. You play against an advanced AI that counters your every move.” Turns out in this game, you’re the home invader - but don’t feel bad for your Neighbor, who will do anything to keep you out of his home and away from his secrets.

Watch the announcement trailer for Hello Neighbor and prepare to feel thoroughly unsettled:

Hello Neighbor ’s Steam Page explains more about an AI that learns from your mistakes:

“Really enjoying climbing through that backyard window? Expect a bear trap there. Sneaking through the front door? There'll be cameras there soon. Trying to escape? The Neighbor will find a shortcut and catch you.”

Features include:

  • Suspenseful horror gameplay (not jump scares) that focuses on sneaking around your neighbor's house

  • Constantly evolving experience where the Neighbor's AI counters your moves, and learns from what you do

  • Sandbox-style gameplay with plenty of environmental interaction and physics

You can sign up for the Hello Neighbor alpha here , but if you prefer to wait, Hello Neighbor is coming in summer 2017. Plans include at least ten hours of gameplay, switching between the house sandbox and story-driven segments that take place somewhere else entirely.
