Fallout Shelter, the hit mobile take on Fallout 4, is now available to play on PC via Steam. The vault-building game is also available to play on Windows 10 PCs and Xbox One.

Fallout Shelter, for those that don’t know, puts players in the role of a Vault Overseer in the Fallout universe. It’s up to you to expand your vault, while also making sure there are enough resources for all of your vault dwellers. Oh yeah, and watch out for raiders or monsters attacking you.

Fallout Shelter on Steam will offer full controller support, has Steam Achievements and is entirely free to play. The PC minimum specs are below, but this game should run on just about anything. It is a game made for phones, after all.

  • MINIMUM:

    • OS: Windows 7 64 bit

    • Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad CPU Q9550 @2.83GHZ

    • Memory: 2 GB RAM

    • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTS 250 1Ghz, Radeon HD 6970 1GHz

If you are a PS4 gamer looking to get in on the fun, don’t get too excited. As of last month, Bethesda still wasn’t sure if Fallout Shelter would be coming to any Sony platform at all. The reason for this is because Bethesda made Fallout Shelter for Universal Windows Platform, which is why it also runs on the Xbox One. The console wasn’t specifically targeted, it just happened to work out.

So what do you think? Are you excited to play Fallout Shelter on your PC? What other mobile games would work as a PC game? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
