Square Enix has released a brand new Japanese trailer for Dragon Quest XI , confirming its July release date for both the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo 3DS, but noticeably absent was any mention of the Nintendo Switch release.

Check out the Dragon Quest XI release date trailer below, with all of the pre-order and bundle goodies that Japan is getting.

Way back in August 2016, Dragon Quest series creator Yuji Horii spoke with Nintendo Dream -- via Gematsu -- about the upcoming Dragon Quest XI and confirmed the game would release for what was then known as the Nintendo NX alongside the PS4 and 3DS versions.

He also stated that he wanted Dragon Quest XI to release simultaneously on all three consoles so fans can avoid spoilers. With the Nintendo Switch not mentioned in the release date trailer, it seems that the game’s simultaneous release for the Switch is in jeopardy.

Prior to the Xbox Scorpio reveal, Square Enix CEO Yosuke Matsuda said the company is focusing on the Nintendo Switch and PS4 consoles, so we assume Dragon Quest XI is still coming to the Switch. It’s now just a matter of how long after the initial release will it appear.

Of course, a North American release date for Dragon Quest XI is not known at this time. Dragon Quest VIII was released in January and hopefully Dragon Quest IX and X will follow soon.

Dragon Quest XI: In Search of Departed Time will release July 29.
