This is our first look at anything American Horror Story Season 6 related, and it raises plenty of questions (ALL PUNS INTENDED). At this time of writing, the public knows virtually nothing about the sixth season with the exception of a few casting confirmations. Lady Gaga teased her return in an interview, saying, “I can’t promise you how or when or anything like that.” Cheyenne Jackson and Sarah Paulson are also on board for Season 6.

As for plot details, FX CEO John Landgraf briefly touched on the series, telling reporters, “It’s set in the present although with echoes of the past. It’s set in two time periods… but principally in the present.” His comments suggest that American Horror Story will feature flashback scenes of some sort.

AHS creator Ryan Murphy has remained relatively quiet so far, but don’t be surprised if he drops some hints on plot lines or character development in the coming weeks.

American Horror Story in an anthology series, meaning each season features a brand new story and set of characters. Last year’s installment was “Hotel,” which earned the show its lowest yet rating on Rotten Tomatoes with 64 percent (still fresh, though!). Can Murphy and his cast improve that number for Season 6? Let us know in the comment section below!
