To achieve a more balanced weapon offering, the developers have adjusted the max dispersion values of some assault rifles, including AKK24, M416, and MTAR21.
With the recent change to the IBA Armor Plate, the developers are hoping that players will be encouraged to shoot at the enemy's weak spots for faster takedowns.
The upcoming patch is expected to drop later this week. This update will also include more improvements and bug fixes besides rolling back the changes made to Drum/Extended Magazine attachments.
The class system has received some notable changes from previous Battlefield installments, such as the ability for specialists to wield any type of gun and weapon proficiencies.
Some iconic weapons from Battlefield 3 have made their way to the vault, including a fan-favorite assault rifle that's quite effective against enemies at mid-range.
This update also includes two new vault weapons. One is a light machine gun that Bad Company and Bad Company 2 players might be familiar with, and the other is an assault rifle first introduced in Battlefield Play4Free.
The 60mm Flak Weapon Pod is also now effective against air units. However, its effectiveness against infantry units is lowered, seemingly to punctuate the point that it's only meant for aerial vehicles.
