Brawlhalla is on a roll when it comes to featuring guest characters, and in this latest epic crossover the Legends get the chance to fight the Crystal Gems from Steven Universe. Starting December 5, get to fight as Garnet, Amethyst, Pearl, and even Stevonnie. Each of the characters can be purchased for 300 Mammoth coins each and arrive as part of a special in-game event that ends on December 18. This same event also introduces a Bubble Tag mode along with a main menu takeover and even a new Malachite KO effect.

In this upcoming Epic Crossover, Garnet appears as Petra. She brings energy blasts and rocket gauntlets to the fight. Meanwhile Amethyst mirrors Xull, and can transform into her Purple Puma form. She can even use her whips as a signature attack in order to snag opponents. Pearl on the other hand is an Epic Crossover for Kaya and is armed with a spear and bow. She can use Holo-Pearl and Holo-Rose Quartz signature attacks.

Finally there is Stevonnie, which is the fusion of Steven Universe and his friend Connie Maheswaran. Stevonnie stands in for Brawlhalla’s Val, and can summon both a bubble shield and the magical pink lion.

For the new Bubble Tag mode, players are divided into teams of three. Each time tries to capture the Gem Bubbles of the other. The Gem Bubbles limit movement and stop attacks. Players can free their teammates by tagging. However, once the whole team is stuck, the opposing team gets a point.

Back in June Brawlhalla introduced a crossover event with Adventure Time. Joining the game was Finn, Jake, and of course, Princess Bubblegum. By August the game launched its Summar Slam Event with four WWE Superstars joining the roster. These were Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, John Cena, Becky Lynch, and Xavier Woods. Just last month, four more WWE superstars were added to the roster, including The Undertaker, Roman Reigns, Asuka, and “Macho Man” Randy Savage.

Brawlhalla is available now on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, and the Nintendo Switch. A mobile version is set to arrive in 2020.
