The return of the prodigal son, Derek Zoolander, is less than two weeks away. To cap off that excitement, Paramount Pictures has released the presumed final trailer for Zoolander 2 , which features several high-profile cameos and loads of hilarity.
There’s a good chunk of new footage in the new Zoolander 2 trailer, including a scene where rapper A$AP Rocky and DJ/producer Skrillex team up for a concert. "Hansel and Derek/I'm handsome, you jealous/I can tell it from facial expressions," raps Rocky during his brief clip. Justin Bieber is back again (he was also in the first trailer), suggesting that his presence in yet another trailer will somehow translate into a major plot point in the movie. Of course, Ben Stiller’s Zoolander is joined by Hansel (Owen Wilson), Valentina (Penelope Cruz), Mugatu (Will Ferrell) and Alexanya (Kristen Wiig). And according to the cast list, the likes of Kim Kardashian, Kanye West, Ariana Grande and Demi Lovato are expected to appear as well. The avant-garde additions will be complete with an extensive amount of explosions, car chases, throwing knives, arm biting and plenty more as well.
The first Zoolander 2 trailer dropped back in November, breaking a record for most online views for a comedy after just one week of release. It’s been just about 15 years since the release of the first landmark film. Will Zoolander 2 live up to the hype of the first revolutionary comedy? Let’s hope so.
