Fox may be planning to introduce a new X-Men character in Hugh Jackman’s final Wolverine movie. Superhero Hype reports the studio is looking to cast mutant X-23 to star alongside Jack and Patrick Stewart in Wolverine 3.

X-23, who is later given the name Laura Kinney, is the product of cloning Wolverine in the Weapon X program. She has Wolverine’s DNA and the same Adamantium skeleton. The rumor comes shortly after ComicBook.com reported the Wolverine 3 production put out a casting call for a "Caucasian, Hispanic and Asian looking females over the age of 21, specifically at a height of 4'-4'11 and size 0-4 with dark brown hair.”

The character fits the alleged casting call, but 20th Century Fox has yet to confirm X-23’s appearance in Wolverine 3 . If there is an X-23, it’s possible she might be a part of the X-Men spinoff New Mutants , which is reportedly geared towards young adults.

Wolverine 3 will be directed by James Mangold and star Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart and Boyd Holbrook. The film hits theaters on March 3, 2017.
